Vince Zampella, a Gaming Pioneer, Has Passed Away in a Los Angeles Car Crash

The co-creator of Call of Duty, renowned for co-creating the immensely successful franchise Call of Duty, has died in a vehicle crash in the state of California aged 55.

The tragic news was confirmed by Electronic Arts, which owns Respawn Entertainment, the development studio which he helped establish.

The celebrated industry figure died after his automobile collided and was engulfed in flames on a highway in LA on this past Sunday, as reported by.

"This is a heartbreaking loss, and our hearts are with his family and friends, his loved ones, and everyone impacted by his work," an official with Electronic Arts said.
